It has a GORE-TEX Surround waterproof, breathable membrane that’s remarkably original compared to any other membrane. Most membranes only cover the uppers, but GORE-TEX Surround literally surrounds your entire foot–top and bottom. When you step in a puddle, the boot’s footbed won’t soak through like other waterproof shoes’ footbeds. In fact, the boot’s midsole and sole have drainage ports to clear all water soakage, keeping you light on your feet as you quickly trek through wet weather, while staying breathable enough for summer desert treks.
